Parboiled rice is a better source of fiber, calcium, potassium and vitamin B-6 than regular white rice. Parboiling makes white rice nutritionally similar to brown rice. It has a unique aroma and texture. It improves heart health , blood circulation and is good for diabetic patients as it has low glycemic index. It is fine grain, slender and contains 2 to 4 times as much thiamine and niacin as milled raw rice and rather more riboflavin.
